Brenda Martin Sattler passed away on May 24 at Pathways Hospice in Loveland from light chain multiple myeloma.
Brenda was born on December 9, 1941, in Williston, N.D. to Wilmer Ira and Ann Nora Martin.
She graduated from Dawson County High School in Glendive, Mont., where she was a baton twirler, active in Key Club and a Rainbow Girl. Brenda received an associate's degree as a medical technologist and worked as a histology technician in Terry, Mont.
She married James Leo Sattler on May 7, 1961. Brenda moved with her family to Fort Collins in 1980 where she worked at McKee Medical Center and at a Colorado State University lab. Brenda was a gymnastics judge and ardent supporter of local high school and club gymnastics. She played bridge with the CSU Women's Association and supported CSU athletic programs.
Brenda is survived by her husband, James Sattler; sisters, Tricia Mohl and Bonnie McCormack; daughters, Jayme Brucher, Joni LaCentra, Jana Hess, Julie Brewer, and Jaianna Sattler; her son, Matthew Sattler; and grandsons, Michael Sattler, Craig Sattler, David Sattler Brucher and Tyler Brewer.
Brenda was preceded in death by her mother Ann Martin, her father Wilmer Ira Martin, and her brother Wilmer Scott Martin.
A celebration of her life will be held at the Marriott Hotel at 350 East Horsetooth Road in Fort Collins at 11 a.m. on May 30. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Pathways Hospice or the Mulitple Myeloma Research Foundation.
