First-come, first-served

To show appreciation for Colorado State’s faculty and staff, the University introduced the “Commitment to Campus” program in August.

CSU School of the Arts made 25 different events at the University Center for the Arts eligible for the program. Two free tickets to select events are available to University employees on a first-come, first-served basis. Additionally, youth tickets (17 and under) for music events are just $1 each, which means a family of four can attend a music event for just $2.

There are many “Commitment to Campus” eligible performances this weekend through next weekend including four performances of the CSU Opera Theatre production of Le Nozze di Figaro (The Marriage of Figaro) by W. A. Mozart, and the Student Dance Concert matinee.

Melodic opera

Mozart's beautifully melodic opera Le Nozze di Figaro (The Marriage of Figaro), is a comedy of errors, involving love, trickery, and silly plots of all kinds. The opera is set in 18th Century Seville, and performed with traditional costumes and scenery. The production is in Italian, with English super-titles, making this family-friendly performance easily accessible to youth and first-time opera attendees.

Experience choreographic voice, talent of dance students

The Student Dance Concert is completely choreographed, produced and directed by senior dance students. "The cool thing about the Student Dance Concert is that the audience gets to see what students have been working on through the semester, and how students are developing their choreographic voice, said senior Kim Norberg.
