Ask Cam

No place for bad conduct

November 9, 2010

Question:

Can you request students to be respectful of Mormons during the CSU game vs. BYU on Nov. 13 at Hughes? There are at least 100 Mormon students at CSU and many more who are prospective students. Let’s have respect and set a good example.

Cam’s answer:

I couldn’t have said it any better! We all gotta get along, whether at sporting events, in classes, at home, on campus, in space, under the sea…

But seriously, consideration and good sportsmanship are crucial at any game. In fact, here at CSU, students, faculty, and staff exude integrity – known as “Ram Pride” – at Ram events on and off campus. In keeping with that tradition, Associated Students of CSU  (our student government) adopted the Green & Gold Student Spirit Code  to help create safe and enjoyable experiences for all fans at University events.

Green & Gold Student Spirit Code

  • Uphold CSU as a campus of character.
  • Take responsibility for individual actions.
  • Understand student rights and responsibilities listed in the CSU Handbook
  • Follow all CSU policies and obey the law.
  • Behave courteously with other fans and teams regardless of a game’s outcome.
  • Follow tailgating rules in various on-campus venues.
  • If 21 or older, choose to drink legally and responsibly.
  • Project a positive image of Ram Pride.

See you at the game!
