Art and Science Exhibition

The Art and Science Exhibition highlights the creative energies of students, faculty, and staff at Colorado State University and emphasizes the common ties between scientific inquiry and artistic practice.

The selected works of Colorado State University students, faculty, and staff will be on display in the 8th Annual Art & Science Exhibition.

The show runs from February 10 – March 7 in the Hatton Gallery, Visual Arts Building,on the Colorado State University campus.

The exhibition celebrates the creative energy of CSU scientists and artists and the products of their endeavors.

Opening ceremony

An opening ceremony with a reception and presentation of awards will be held outside the Hatton Gallery on Thursday, Feb. 13 from 5-7 p.m.

Ties between scientific inquiry and artistic practice

This exhibition highlights the creative energies of students, faculty, and staff at Colorado State University and emphasizes the common ties between scientific inquiry and artistic practice. This includes artists who use aspects of science or nature for artistic inspiration or utilize fundamental principles of science and technology in the creation of their art.

It also celebrates scientists who utilize or generate art in the creation of scientific models and imagery used to illustrate concepts, theories, and discoveries. This exhibition acknowledges and celebrates the wide range of creative output found in the juxtaposition of these distinct yet undeniably related disciplines.
