Clean and renewable energy developments Oct. 26

Tom Plant, director of the Governor's Energy Office and Colorado State University alumnus, will speak at CSU about national and regional trends in clean and renewable energy developments. The event is open to the public.

Tom Plant, director of the Governor’s Energy Office and Colorado State University alumnus, will speak at the university Monday, Oct. 26 about national and regional trends in clean and renewable energy developments and the impact of the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act on Colorado residents. 

Plant will speak at 3 p.m. in Room 228 of the Lory Student Center. The event is open to the public.  

Cenergy sponsors talk

His talk is sponsored by Cenergy, the business arm of the university’s Clean Energy Supercluster.

Cenergy provides professional guidance on commercialization to more than 100 professors across campus who research sustainable and alternative energy solutions for the world’s greatest environmental challenges. Cenergy creates partnerships with industry and works with scientists to quickly move laboratory innovations into the commercial marketplace where appropriate.  

About Tom Plant

Gov. Bill Ritter appointed Plant to his position in 2007. Previously, he had served as the executive director of the Center for ReSource Conservation – a non-profit that implements a variety of programs focused on energy efficiency, renewable energy, water conservation, green building and construction waste reduction.

Plant also served as Colorado House District 13 Representative from 1998 through 2006 including two years as chairman of the House Appropriations committee and one year as chairman of the Joint Budget Committee.
