Railroad track work to impact to Mason Street traffic

September 16, 2010

As part of a project to repair sanitary sewer lines on campus, BT Construction plans to start boring beneath the railroad track just south of Pitkin Street on Sept. 20.

Work to continue through mid-Oct.

The contractor, BT Construction, will start the bore on the east side of the tracks, with construction access through the frontage road near the outdoor track. They will be staging on the east side for approximately 2 weeks.

The traffic control plan for the west side will come into effect around Oct. 1 through approximately the Oct. 15. Pitkin Drive and the bike lane will not be impacted, but Mason Street traffic will be slowed.

Temporary loss of parking spots

Approximately a dozen parking spots in lot 575 will be lost temporarily. Map [printable PDF]
