Complement your major with a GES 101 class

Learn the core global environmental sustainability concepts as they are applied to real world challenges.

The course will first explore the historical development of sustainability as a concept and look at how the concept of sustainability has influenced real-world practice in various sectors, such as:

  • health,
  • agriculture,
  • natural resource management,
  • poverty reduction, and
  • other relevant areas of study.

The course is taught by Dale Lockwood, School of Global Environmental Sustainability professor, and meets on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 1 p.m.-1:50 p.m. throughout fall 2013.
