Timothy Sharkey

Timothy Sharkey, 36, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 19, in Fort Collins.

Tim honorably served in the U.S. Air Force and also the Colorado Air National Guard. He served oversees in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Tim graduated Colorado State University in 2006 with a Bachelor Degree in business and was currently attending CSU for computer technology as a graduate student. He was an exceptional athlete who successfully completed several ironman triathlons. Tim will be greatly missed.

Tim is survived by his parents, Barbara and James Sharkey of Little Egg Harbor, NJ; his brother, James and his wife Maryanne of Fair Haven, NJ; his sister, Maura J. Fegel and her husband Gerald of Kingsland, GA, along with 2 nieces and 2 nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 31 at the Church of the Nativity, 180 Ridge Rd., Fair Haven, NJ, 07704, to celebrate Tim's life, with a gathering at the Knights of Columbus in Fair Haven immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, a scholarship fund has been set up in Timothy Sharkey's name. All contributions can be made payable and mailed to The Knights of Columbus, P.O. Box 173, Rumson, NJ 07760.
