Apply to be a Pacesetter

The Pacesetters are CSU students that have been able to demonstrate outstanding academic achievement, campus involvement, a compelling journey to higher education, exemplary leadership, integrity, and character.

The Associated Students of Colorado State University are proud to carry on the tradition of recognizing extraordinary students with this award. If selected as Pacesetters, students will participate in the Homecoming Parade on Friday, Oct. 11, be recognized at the game during halftime Saturday, Oct. 12, and receive the Albert C. Yates Scholarship.

Requirements

Students can either apply themselves for the award or be nominated. Students may be nominated by any student organization, including fraternity or sorority, residence hall, academic college, fellow peer, or a university office or department. Students do not need to be nominated to apply. However, all students wishing to participate in this process must complete an application. Applications are available in the ASCSU office (LSC West) or online.

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

  1. Be a full time student (minimum of 12 credit hours per semester)
  2. Have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher (per semester)    
  3. Have undergraduate junior or senior year standing (60 credit hours or more)
  4. Have attended Colorado State University for a minimum of one year
  5. Be available Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, for the Homecoming Parade and Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, for the Homecoming Football Game

Pacesetter nomination forms must be submitted to ASCSU Student Services via email or turned in to the ASCSU office by 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, 2013.

Pacesetter applications must be submitted to ASCSU Student Services via email or turned in to the ASCSU office by 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013.
