Working at CSU

Nominate someone for an AP Star Award

January 4, 2010

Nominations for the annual AP Star Awards are due by Friday, Jan. 15. Consider honoring a co-worker or employee who makes significant contributions, given the resources he or she has -- and who does an exceptional job of working with other units and the campus community in general.

Catherine Schelly, director of the Center for Community Partnerships in the Department of Occupational Therapy, a previous recipient of the AP Star Award.

AP Star Awards

Who is the shining star in your department? Give that AP employee the honor he or she deserves!

Deadline for nominations is Jan. 15, 2010

The AP Star award was created to express appreciation by recognizing the accomplishments of an administrative professional employee who has demonstrated outstanding individual performance at CSU.

AP Stars are individuals who shine in their job performance, collegiality, diligence, creativity, commitment, and contributions to the University.

Anyone can nominate an AP employee for this award! The goal is to recognize APs who make a difference and “shine” in the nominator’s eyes.

How to nominate

Submit your 250-500 word nomination to any of the individuals listed below by the application deadline, Jan. 15, 2010. Make sure to address the criteria provided and include supporting evidence to demonstrate the accomplishments of your nominee.

Criteria for consideration

  • In what ways has this person demonstrated that she or he has gone above and beyond in her or his work, including collaborating with other units and the campus community in general?
  • In what ways has this person used resources in a more effective manner, i.e. “doing more with less”
  • How has he or she contributed to the professionalism and standing of CSU administrative professionals on campus?

Note: Previous AP Stars recipients are not eligible to win again for two (2) years after their previous award.
