Students, faculty and staff: Get your Showdown tickets

August 17, 2012

Time is running out to get your tickets for the annual Rocky Mountain Showdown. The game marks the beginning of the Jim McElwain era at CSU.

Tickets are still available to students and faculty for the Cinch Jeans Rocky Mountain Showdown, set for 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, at Sports Authority Field at Mile High in Denver.

This year’s annual football battle between CSU and CU marks the beginning of the Jim McElwain era. McElwain, the former offensive coordinator for national-champion Alabama, makes his debut as head coach of the Rams.

CSU and CU have been playing their games in Denver on a nearly annual basis since 1998. CU has a 7-4 advantage in games played in Denver after winning the past four.

Tickets starting at $25

Student tickets are $25, which includes a $5 print-at-home fee (all student tickets are print-at-home). Students can also purchase roundtrip bus tickets to and from the game for $15 when purchasing their game tickets.

The deadline for purchasing student tickets is Aug. 24. After that, tickets ($35 to $110) will be full price for all fans.

CSU faculty and staff can purchase tickets in selected areas of Sports Authority Field for $25. Those tickets are available by calling the CSU ticket office at (970) 491-7267.

CSU is also offering family four-packs of tickets for $100. Those tickets are available only through the CSU ticket office, located in the McGraw Athletic Center, or by calling (970) 491-7267.

For further information, contact the ticket office or visit the Rocky Mountain Showdown website.
