Road work on Prospect will slow traffic starting Oct. 23

The city of Fort Collins Streets Department is scheduled to complete asphalt patching, milling, and paving on Prospect Road between Whitcomb Street and the BNSF railroad tracks starting Saturday, Oct. 23. This operation will last 1-2 weeks, weather permitting.

The city of Fort Collins Streets Department is scheduled to complete asphalt patching, milling, and paving on Prospect Road between Whitcomb Street and the BNSF railroad tracks.

This operation will last 1-2 weeks, weather permitting.

Considerable delays can be expected for this project and alternate routes are suggested to avoid the construction zone.

Schedule (subject to change)


Work is tentatively scheduled to start Saturday, Oct. 23 at 6 a.m., weather and construction issues permitting.

  • Saturday, Oct. 23 eastbound Prospect Road closed Whitcomb Street through Center Avenue
  • The week of Oct. 25 traffic will be permitted in both directions of travel on Prospect Road, but may be limited to one lane per direction
