The Green & Gold Gala is the premier Colorado State alumni event in Denver. Started in 2003, the Green & Gold Gala was created by members of the Alumni Association Board of Directors as a way to celebrate Colorado State University in the Denver area.

The Gala is a fundraiser for the Metro Denver Scholarship

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Metro Denver Scholarship Fund.

The Metro Denver Scholarship Fund

The Alumni Association Metro Denver Scholarship Fund was established in 2005 with proceeds from the Green and Gold Gala, a celebration of CSU held in Denver. Scholarships have been awarded since 2008.

The recipient(s) of the scholarship must:

  • be from the Metro Denver area
  • be a full-time undergraduate junior or senior
  • demonstrate financial need
  • maintain an overall 2.8 cumulative GPA

Sarah Stephens (’10)
Larkspur, Colo.
Art History, Pottery

Sarah loves being involved in life on campus. She has made the Dean’s list twice, plays intramural soccer, is a resident assistant and Key Service Mentor for first-year students in Key Service Community, and an Alternative Break Leader. Upon graduation, Sarah will apply for the Student Affairs and Higher Education master’s program at Colorado State.

Jeffrey Usher (’10)
Arvada, Colo.
Construction Management

Jeffrey chose CSU for its outstanding reputation in construction management. He is a member of the Construction Management Association of America and the Association of General Contractors, and he plays lacrosse in his free time. His career goal is to manage top quality construction projects and be an effective supervisor.

“I am proud to be a Ram because CSU has given me amazing opportunities that I couldn’t have gotten elsewhere.”
