Engineering parking lot repairs to begin July 28

July 27, 2010

The Engineer Lot will be undergoing a few improvements beginning Wednesday, July 28 continuing through the month of August. The majority of the work should be complete by Monday, Aug. 16.

Concrete bus drive, improved drainage

The scope includes replacing the remaining bus drive leading into the Transit Center with concrete and improving drainage in the handicap area just to the north of the Engineering Building. This handicap area sits in water anytime we have a storm event, and will need to be re-graded with a new storm drain installed.

Expect detour signage and coned areas within the Engineering lot itself.

Transit Center to remain open

There will be no delivery access through the parking lot due to limited turn-around area, and some parking will be temporarily lost.

The Transit Center will remain open.

Rockwell parking lot closed

The Rockwell Lot will need to be closed and pedestrian traffic rerouted. This will affect some parking, traffic circulation, possible deliveries, and foot traffic.

Duran Excavating will have the areas blocked-off, coned, and flag people as needed.
