International Poster Exhibit opening reception Oct. 2

The opening reception for the Colorado International Invitational Poster Exhibition is this Friday, Oct. 2 at 7 p.m. This year's event signals the first time that the exhibition will be featured in one venue - the University Art Museum. The reception is free and open to the public. A full-color catalogue of the exhibiition will be available and works will be on sale on a first-come, first-served basis.

The opening reception for the 16th Colorado International Invitational Poster Exhibition will be held in conjunction with Friday Finales on Friday, Oct. 2 from 7-9 p.m. in the University Art Museum. Admission is free.

Posters will be on sale during the reception. 

Excellence in poster design

The 16th Colorado International Invitational Poster Exhibition, or CIIPE, highlights excellence in poster design from leading and emerging graphic designers from around the globe.

The biennial invitational is hosted by the Colorado State University Department of Art.

Now in its 30th year, the exhibition will be featured, for the first time, in one venue at the University Art Museum. Featuring work by approximately 100 artists from over 30 countries, the 16th CIIPE: 

  • Exhibits and interprets poster design
  • Brings outstanding examples of visual communication to an American audience
  • Promotes international understanding and dialogue through the graphic arts 

Catalogue of exhibition available

A full-color catalogue of the exhibition will be available and works in the exhibition will be for sale on a first-come, first-serve basis.
