Free flu shots available on campus for employees with BCBS health plans

October 18, 2013

Don't spend time this winter feeling miserable; as a university employee enrolled in a CSU medical plan, you can receive a free flu shot.

UPDATE: Due to great demand, flu shots will be offered until 3 p.m. on Oct. 22 for benefits-eligibile faculty and Admin Pro and other non-classified employees on CSU's health benefit plan. Walk-ins are welcome.

The shots are courtesy of Human Resources and Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield and will be given from 7:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, at the Lory Student Center North Ballroom.

University medical plans cover the expense of the vaccination for any employee enrolled in an Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield plan.

To minimize wait times, employees should register through Anthem ahead of time, and obtain the consent form, required at check-in the day of the flu shot clinic. More information, including some eligibility requirements, the consent form and a link  to pre-resignation is available on the Human Resources website.

Employees who do not work in Fort Collins and want a flu shot may get one through a provider and submit information for a reimbursement up to $25. All flu shot reimbursement requests must be provided to Anthem no later than Dec. 31 to be eligible.
