Lt. David "Dege" Hurley

Lt. David "Dege" Hurley, a member of the CSU Police Department for more than two decades, passed away on June 27, 2014 at Poudre Valley Hospital.

Dege was born in Bermuda, at Kindly AF Base, Sept. 3, 1963, but for the majority of his childhood, he grew up in Colorado Springs. Dege lived in Fort Collins for the past 23 years.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Jacki; his son Michael and daughter Katie; his brothers Gerry (Jennifer), Jim (Mary); sisters Joan (Kevin) Monahan, and Janet.

Dege was a well-liked and well-respected member of the CSU community and played an important role in the health and safety of the campus community.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Michael and Katie's college fund at any First Bank under the Officer Hurley Memorial fund.
