Linda Tarnoff, a Technician IV in the Office of Dean of Veterinary Medicine, is the latest Classified Personnel Council Everyday Hero.
Office of Dean of Veterinary Medicine
Linda was nominated by Sharon Baker in the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. Here is what Sharon had to say about Linda:
"Linda is an efficient and productive worker and an incredible morale booster! She has encouraged me on a number of occasions, delegated work to me, and instilled the confidence to do the job well. Linda is a kind person who often puts others before herself. I thoroughly enjoy doing tasks that will interface with her!"
Linda was looking for a secretarial job 34 years ago and CSU was the biggest employer so Linda accepted a position with Purchasing. Two years later she moved to the Dean of Veterinarian Medicine’s office and has been there ever since. Linda says her job has evolved into the Technician position she holds now.
When asked what she thought of being nominated Everyday Hero, Linda said “I’m humbled”. She will be retiring in a year and a half. Her plans include doing the volunteering she feels very strongly about with SAINT, driving the elderly to appointments, etc. and with Meals on Wheels, delivering meals to the elderly unable to cook for themselves. In between, she would like to travel to Europe. Linda’s hobbies include hiking, snowshoeing, skiing, sewing, and gardening. Obviously, Linda likes to stay busy!
Do you have a colleague who deserves recognition, a co-worker who makes the workplace better or someone who just “made your day?"
