Pre-Vet Club meeting Oct. 21

October 19, 2009

On Wednesday, Oct. 21 in Yates 104 at 6 p.m., we will be hosting Pat Craig, the owner and founder of the Wild Animal Sanctuary located in Keenesburg Colo.

Owner and founder of Wild Animal Sanctuary

Craig's concern for unwanted and mistreated animals began when he was 19 when he learned about "surplus populations" -- animals kept in cages out of public view -- and how it's commonplace for zoos to euthanize them.

In response, he converted part of his farm into a licensed wildlife refuge. And from there, his refuge has grown into a 160 acre compound.

Don’t miss this opportunity to learn about Pat Craig, the man who envisioned, funded, and built from scratch the Wild Animal Sanctuary; a refuge for unwanted exotic animals where they are able to eat balanced meals and get stellar veterinary care.

All are welcome.
