Institute for Livestock and the Environment

The School of Global Environmental Sustainability introduces the campus to the Institute for Livestock and the Environment, one of its six sustainability centers.

Colorado State has six centers that work on local, national, and international research projects related to environmental stewardship and sustainability.

This spring the School of Global Environmental Sustainability has been hosting a series of events designed to introduce the Colorado State campus to the breadth of sustainability research at CSU. 

On Tuesday, April 12, the In-Focus Sustainability Centers Series invites you to learn more about the Institute for Livestock and the EnvironmentThe April 12 presentation will consist of a short introduction session with time for Q&A. Light refreshments will be provided. Seating is limited.

About the ILE Center

The Institute for Livestock and the Environment examines how to balance agricultural production with sustainable environmental management -- likely one of the greatest challenges of the 21st Century.

The Institute for Livestock and the Environment:

  • Brings together Colorado State University faculty members from various disciplines with stakeholders and concerned ci ti zens
  • To find win-win solutions to issues of economic growth in the livestock industry and our need for a sustainable environment and prosperous rural communities.

Last center to be featured April 26

On Tuesday, April 26, Noon, Johnson Hall, Room 108, the Center for the Advancement of Sustainable Enterprise stands at the intersections of the academy and industry, science and the marketplace, past and future.
