Enjoy a concert that promises to be funny and entertaining with some serious and stunning moments as well -- and at the same time make a charitable donation through your ticket purchase to CSU's Department of Music! The Faculty Fundraiser is on Friday, April 16 at 7:30 p.m.
Special Assistant Professor of Cello and Chamber Music, Barbara Thiem, a recipient of the 2010 Best Teacher Award, will play at Friday night's concert.
The Colorado State University music faculty put themselves on the line for students!
The CSU music faculty presents a virtuosic and entertaining variety program and fundraiser on Friday, April 16, 7:30 p.m. in the Griffin Concert Hall at the University Center for the Arts, 1400 Remington St.
Tickets are $40. $28 of the total is considered a charitable donation to the Department of Music.

Join us for an exciting evening as, for the first time in ten years, the entire CSU music faculty brings their collective talents to the stage for a recital! Delight in a variety of ensembles and instrumentation, including instruments the musicians are not trained on, and a few wonderful surprises!
For example, a men's glee club will sing a medley from Star Wars (composed by John Williams)!

Suzanne Sorkin, Ph.D., assistant professor of music at Saint Joseph's University, has written a composition for cello that CSU faculty member Barbara Thiem will play.
Performed by a cast of dozens, the concert promises to be funny and entertaining, with some serious and stunning moments as well.
Proceeds and additional donations from this fun celebration help establish a newly formed faculty/staff endowment fund, supporting the music program.
The fund was established by music faculty and staff as a component of the Campaign for Colorado State. Faculty and staff are also contributing financially to the fund which will maintain and grow the high quality of the thriving music program at CSU.
