CM Cares receives two awards for commitment to community

The Construction Management inititative was honored by both the mayor of Fort Collins and Associated General Contractors of Colorado.

CM Cares volunteers work on a project earlier this year.The Department of Construction Management's CM Cares initiative recently received two awards in recognition of its commitment to the community.

On Oct. 17, representatives from Construction Managment accepted the Mayor's Award for Service Provider of the year at a luncheon in the Senior Center in Fort Collins. This award was presented by the Fort Collins mayor as a recognition of CM Cares' commitment and dedication to helping persons with disabilities.

On Nov. 1, Construction Management accepted the Associated General Contractors of Colorado's ACE Construction Education Challenge Award for CM Cares' enagagement of the construction industry in education and its impact on the community.

The Department of Construction Management is part of the College of Health and Human Sciences.
