Singer of the Year competition

The Singer of the Year Competition takes place in the fabulous Organ Recital Hall in the University Center for the Arts. In this intimate concert hall with its beautiful acoustics, it doesn't matter where you sit -- you're sure to enjoy the vocals of each performer as they sing two selections and then are critiqued by a guest clinician.

Undergrad vocal students compete

At the annual Singer of the Year Competition, CSU's finest undergraduate vocal students compete for awards and scholarships, as well as special distinctions including:

  • Most improved
  • Most artistic
  • Singer of the Year

Exciting, fun event

CSU voice faculty, in consultation with guest clinicians, determines finalists and winners in this exciting competition!

Finalists perform and participate in a masterclass given by the guest judge and clinician Caleb Harris, Ph.D.. The winners will be announced at the conclusion of the evening.

Admission is free.
