Employee Flu Shot Clinic added on Friday

October 23, 2013

Due to record employee participation at the university's flu shot clinic on Tuesday, Human Resources has added an additional flu shot clinic for employees and their dependents who would still like to receive this year's vaccine.

Unlike the previous clinic this week, this clinic was scheduled during the afternoon to accommodate parents with school-aged children. Children must be 4 years old or older to receive a vaccine.

During Tuesday's clinic, more than 900 employees received a flu shot - a record number. Employees who are enrolled in a CSU Anthem medical plan and their dependents can receive the vaccine for free; employees and dependents not enrolled can receive the vaccine for $25.

"We are excited to see a tremendous commitment among our community to make the choice to receive the vaccine and reduce their likelihood of contracting the flu," said Teri Suhr, Human Resources.

Flu shots will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis to those employees and dependents enrolled in a medical plan (Green, Gold, POS).

For quicker service at the clinic, fill out the required consent form available on the Human Resources online.
