Arizona colleges warn student about spring break in Mexico

Colleges in Arizona are urging students to reconsider their plans to travel south into Mexico, as drug-related violence has increased.

A recent warning issued by the University of Arizona advised students to be extra careful if they travel to Mexico for spring break, especially along the border with the United States, where violent crime has become particularly frequent.

The U.S. State Department, which recently renewed a travel advisory for Americans venturing to Mexico, has created a website for students, outlining what they should know before they go to Mexico, including information about specific cities
