CRSCS looking for board members

October 5, 2010

Conflict Resolution Services provides assistance to students for any issue and to faculty and staff on matters with students.

Advisory Board Members needed

The Advisory Board will consist of approximately 8 to 10 students. The purpose of the Board is to serve as a sounding board for CRSCS services and programs that are funded by Student Fees.

The Board provides input on long-range goals and objectives, reviews current services, programs, and budgets, and makes recommendations.

The Advisory Board meets 1-2 times a semester. Each meeting is approximately an hour in duration. (No additional work is required outside of the meeting. We just need/want your feedback and insight).

Craig Chesson, director, and Melissa Emerson, assistant director, will schedule the advisory board meetings and bring topics and issues for discussion, feedback, and direction before the board at each meeting.

Continuum of services for students

Conflict Resolution and Student Conduct Services provides a continuum of services for students including:

  • conflict resolution
  • mediation
  • advising
  • policies
  • processing information
  • restorative justice programs

These services are supported through student fees and warrant the insights of a student advisory board.

If you are interested in serving on the Advisory Board or would like more information, please contact Melissa Emerson by Friday, Oct. 8.
