Tony DeCrosta, who has served as interim director of Human Resource Services at CSU since December, has been named to the new position of executive director and chief human resource officer at CSU effective June 13.
Vice President for University Operations Amy Parsons announced the appointment today, citing DeCrosta’s strong performance as interim director and solid HR background.
“Tony has continued to demonstrate an exceptional commitment to service and a willingness to approach problems in innovative, positive and collaborative ways,” Parsons says. “He supports our HR staff and is dedicated to ensuring they have the tools, resources, and leadership they need to carry out their vital responsibilities for CSU.

Parsons has charged this position to emphasize “maximizing efficiencies, quality and operational effectiveness, and excellence in providing service to others.”
The HR department includes the units that manage employment administration, payroll, benefits, compensation and classification systems, state classified recruitment, and information systems and records management.
HR leaders at CSU work closely with the Office of Equal Opportunity, Training and Development, and the Employee Assistance Program in supporting the needs of the University’s more than 6,000 employees worldwide.
