Steve Hultin, who has served in a leadership role for CSU Facilities Management for more than 25 years, has been named interim director of Facilities Management by Vice President for University Operations Amy Parsons.
After several years in the private sector, Hultin joined CSU in 1986 as a design engineer and project manager. He has since served as manager of Facilities engineering and utilities and as the department’s assistant director, responsible for engineering, small-remodel construction, trades operations, and utilities services for more than 10 million square feet of campus buildings on several different campuses.
He also has been an adjunct instructor in CSU’s Construction Management program. He earned his bachelor’s in physical science and master’s in mechanical engineering from CSU.
“Steve brings a wealth of experience to the position, and I have every confidence that he will do an outstanding job in this interim role,” Parsons said.
Hultin replaces Brian Chase, who left CSU in July after nine years to take a position as associate vice president for Facilities Management and Capital Asset Services at Northern Arizona University.
