Working at CSU

Miranda encourages CSU community to take survey

March 13, 2014

Colorado State University is participating for the first time in The Chronicle of Higher Education's Great Colleges to Work For program, a study designed to recognize institutions that have built great workplaces.

Part of the program involves an employee survey distributed to a sample of full time faculty, administrative professionals, and state classified staff. Participation in this survey will benefit the University on a number of levels, perhaps most significantly providing us with key benchmarking data we can use to continue to assess the quality of our work environment and the competitiveness of our employee benefits and polices. Your involvement in this survey is essential to its success, so thanks to all of you for your willingness to participate.

Specifically for higher education

This survey was designed specifically for higher education. On March 17, this survey will be distributed to a random selection of our faculty and staff. If you are included in this random sample, you will receive an invitation encouraging you to take part in this survey.

If you receive the invitation, please take a moment to complete the survey.  You will be representing yourself as well as your colleagues, so please take the time to respond.

The results of the survey will be factored into the overall scoring process that will ultimately determine the institutions recognized.

Report to be shared with CSU

We will receive a report that summarizes responses to the survey questions.  We will share that report with the CSU community.

This is a confidential survey that measures the strength of certain organizational competencies and relationships that most directly impact and influence an institution’s culture. Your participation and honest feedback are critical to the assessment process. To ensure the confidentiality of your responses, your survey will be processed by ModernThink LLC, a research and consulting firm focusing on workplace excellence. Our institution will not be given any information that would enable us to trace survey data back to any one individual.

We encourage everyone’s participation! A high response rate helps ensure accurate results and demonstrates the commitment of our workforce.
