Get help with application essays

February 12, 2009

Spring is applications season, and the CSU Writing Center is a great resource for anyone writing application essays for scholarships, graduate school, or internships.

Need help with your writing?

If you struggle with writing these types of pieces, you’re not alone! Application essays and personal statements are as challenging as they are important. Know that Writing Center consultants can offer feedback, support, and suggestions about application essays at any stage in your writing process.

The Writing Center can help with any and all of your writing projects, including scholarship applications and personal statements. Whether you’ve completed a draft or you’re still staring at the prompt, our consultants can help.

Unique services

We are dedicated to providing advice and help at every stage of the writing process. As scholarship and admission deadlines approach, bring your thoughts, questions, and concerns to the Writing Center and meet one-on-one with a consultant or try our Send-a-Draft.

Time, location, and appointments

The Writing Center is located in the basement of Eddy Hall, in Room 6. We’re open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Fridays from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Our consultants also hold hours in the library (EIL 3) Sunday through Thursday evenings from 6-8 p.m.

You don’t need an appointment for a consultation, so feel free to stop by the Writing Center whenever you need a second pair of eyes. We hope to work with you soon!
