2010-2011 CSU Parking Permits now on sale

It's that time of year again. 2010-2011 CSU parking permits go on sale Tuesday, July 6, 2010. Get yours early and beat the rush!

CSU Parking Permit purchase information

Permits can be purchased online at http://parking.colostate.edu, by mail, or in person at the Parking Services office in the Lake Street Garage located at 1508 Center Avenue.

07/06/10 ---> Permits may be purchased online at http://parking.colostate.edu, by mail, or in person at the Parking Services office in the Lake Street Garage.
08/01/10 ---> New 2010-11 permits MUST BE DISPLAYED.

**Permits purchased online or by mail will be charged an additional $3.54 for shipping & handling.**

Online purchase

• Online sales begin Tuesday, July 6, 2010.
• Go to http://parking.colostate.edu, and then click on the ‘Purchase a Permit’ link.
• Only 'A', 'B', or ‘Z’ permits may be purchased online. All other permits, including ‘Q’, ‘W’, and ‘X’ residence hall permits, 'M' motorcycle permits, 'J' service zone permits, 'H' handicap permits, 'D' doctor permits, and 'AD' admin reserved permits must be purchased either in person at the Parking Services office in the Lake Street Garage or by downloading the Permit Application Form(s) at http://parking.colostate.edu/index.asp?url=forms, filling the form(s) out completely, and mailing the completed form(s) along with your payment to:

• Pay by Visa, MasterCard, or payroll deduction (payroll deduction option not valid for 'A' semester permits or ‘Z’ student permits).
• Avoid waiting in line!

Important information

• Permits are transferable to any vehicle operated BY THE APPLICANT, or any motorcycle with the purchase of a transferable locking device for $15.
• You may have separate permits for your regular vehicle and for your motorcycle if you prefer. This is required if you intend to have both vehicles parked on campus simultaneously.
• Permits are valid ONLY in the lots listed on the back of the permit.
• Permits are valid ONLY when displayed unobstructed:

  • Peel the liner from the face of the permit and affix the permit inside the vehicle's front windshield on the lower PASSENGER side.
  • For transferable locking devices: DO NOT remove the liner from the permit. Place the permit inside of the device and attach the device securely to the vehicle's steering wheel or rear-view mirror.

Permit is for exclusive use of the applicant

• Giving or selling a permit to another person will result in a Misuse of Permit citation and revocation of the permit.
• Applicant is responsible for ALL citations issued to vehicles displaying the permit.
• Convertibles, soft-top Jeeps, and unlockable vehicles should consider purchasing a transferable locking device for $15 to help deter theft.

Visitor parking information

Colorado State University Parking Regulations require visitors to pay for parking when visiting campus. Visitors may:

• Park and pay at a single space meter.
• Park and pay by the hour for a numbered space at a multi-space pay station in Lot #310 or on the first floor of the Lake Street Garage.
• Park and pay for a pay-and-display daily permit at the pay stations in Lots #195, #330, #505, #575, or #725.
• Buy a scratch-off daily permit from the Parking Services office in the Lake Street Garage or at the Information Desk in the Lory Student Center.
