Public service scholars program informational meeting Oct. 7

October 1, 2009

The Public Service Scholars Program allows you to participate in a 4-credit seminar sequence beginning in Spring 2010 focused on public scholarship, social change, and justice in a global context.

Would you like to...

  • discover how your academic skills might be applied to solve community problems?
  • be part of a community of CSU students convinced that academic knowledge could and ought to overcome social ills?
  • explore the ways that activists, scholars, philosophers, artists, and leaders on a global scale have fought against social injustice and affected social change on local, national, and international levels?
  • work with a faculty or community mentor for community action to work in your academic major?

If so, apply for the Public Service Scholars Program!

The Public Service Scholars Program allows you to participate in a 4-credit seminar sequence beginning in Spring 2010 focused on public scholarship, social change, and justice in a global context.  In addition, you will complete the equivalent of a one-semester experience with  a community organization that is dedicated to service and social change at the local, national, or global level.  You will also be eligible to attend the Civil Rights Road Trip we are currently planning for Spring Break 2010!
