Colorado State's Shakespeare at Sunset Summer Theatre presents 'A Midsummer Night's Dream,' a romantic comedy in which humans and fairies cavort in a moonlit forest. This play is one of The Bard's most popular and has been performed on stages throughout the world. Escape to the realm of fairyland where, as Shakespeare put it, "love hath no law but its own."
Scene I - A wood near Athens.
Enter a FAIRY at one door and PUCK at another.
How now, spirit! whither wander you?
Over hill, over dale,
Thorough bush, thorough brier,
Over park, over pale...
So opens William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, a play inhabited by creatures such a Puck, a clever and mischievous elf; fairies such as King Oberon and Queen Titania; and Athenian lovers Lysander, Hermia, Helena, and Demetrius.
CSU School of the Arts' traditional summer theatre festival returns with Shakespeare's beloved tale of shenanigans and love. Set to Purcell's beautiful music, The Fairy Queen, this will be a delightful evening the whole family can enjoy.
The production sold out earlier in the summer and is back by popular demand! Directed by Walt Jones, professor and director of the CSU Theatre Division, the show displays the best in theatre design, production, direction, and acting.
Great show and amazingly funny!

The production was absolutely delightful. The actors are so talented and were well cast. I especially liked the director's humorous, contemporary spin on Shakespeare's play. I will probably go again.
