In Memory

Catherine "Katie" Marie Adamson

July 18, 2014

Catherine "Katie" Marie Adamson passed away after a long fight with cancer on June 12, aged 25 years.

She died at home surrounded by her family.

Katie graduated from Dakota Ridge High School in Littleton in 2007.  She was studying wildlife biology at Colorado State University when first diagnosed. Unfortunately she was unable to graduate because of her illness, but she completed 3 1/2 years of study and needed only 12 credits to complete her degree.

She was a great lover of the outdoors - she loved to fish and to garden, and loved flowers. She was a very talented horsewoman riding with Westernaires for 10 years, graduating from Red Team.  She loved wildlife and her ambition was to become a zoo keeper.  She was an explorer and an intern at the Denver Zoo.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 18 at Drinkwine Family Chapel.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to The Katie Adamson Scholarship.
