Fans invited to football team sendoff

PLEASE NOTE NEW TIME FOR SENDOFF! Don't miss the celebration that's been five years in the making: The official sendoff party for the CSU Rams as they depart for the New Mexico Bowl.

CSU running back Kapri Bibbs, named a Walter Camp All-American this week, will lead the Rams when they play in the New Mexico Bowl.The public is invited to send off the Rams in style Wednesday outside Moby Arena before they take off for Albuquerque to take on Washington State on Saturday, Dec. 21. The celebration, which will include members of the CSU marching band and cheer squad, begins at 8:30 a.m. – the team is slated to depart at 8:45 a.m.

The Rams are making their first postseason appearance since the 2012. Coach Jim McElwain, in just his second year at CSU, led the Rams to a 7-6 record to earn the 12th bowl invitation in CSU history.

Ticket, travel info

Tickets remain on sale for the game, which is the official kickoff to the 2013 bowl season. For information about tickets or travel packages, visit the team’s official bowl web page at csurams.com.
