Register to paint the 'A' this weekend and check one of the 101 Things to Do Before you Graduate off your list! There are three shifts available, and participants should expect to spend roughly three hours each shift.
Painting the A white became a Colorado State tradition in 1924. Join us Saturday, Aug. 27 to continue this tradition. There will be three shifts for three hours each. See details below:
Check-In* at Moby Arena parking lot for each of the following shifts:
Each shift is about three hours long, including travel time to and from the 'A.' Participants are expected to stay for the duration of their scheduled shift and should wear clothing that can get paint on them.
There will be free transportation to and from the 'A,' and all participants are required to use the provided transportation, as there will be no available parking at the 'A.'
Buses will depart promptly from the Moby Arena parking lot.
When painting the 'A,' expect to help with using spray hoses hooked up to generators and via buckets of paint. Painting the 'A' also involves other tasks such as re-filling supplies, maintenance, light lifting and clean-up. It takes a lot to get the 'A' ready for the year, but being a part of the tradition is well worth it!
