NCAA Volleyball Tournament

On Thursday and Friday nights, Dec. 3-4, Colorado State will host the first and second rounds of the NCAA Volleyball Tournament in Moby Arena.

Thursday, Dec. 3, 5 p.m.
Friday, Dec. 4, 7 p.m.
Moby Arena

Colorado State will host the first and second rounds of the 2009 NCAA Volleyball Tournament in CSU's Moby Arena, Dec. 3-4. The four teams competing are: 

  • Colorado State (23-5) Mountain West Conference champion
  • Big Sky champion University of Northern Colorado (23-11)
  • The tournament’s No. 6 overall seed and Pac-10 runner-up, Washington (23-5)
  • Sun Belt Conference champion Middle Tennessee State (25-9)

Schedule of play (Dec. 3)

  • UNC vs. Washington, 5 p.m. MT
  • MTSU vs. CSU at approximately 7:30 p.m. MT

Winners of the first-round matches will return to Moby for a 7 p.m. battle on Friday, the winner of which receives an invitation to the regional in Minneapolis.

• $4 - Youth General Admission

Single session (available only after beginning of first session)

• $5 - Students/Senior Citizens

Public invited to open practices

All four teams will hold open practices in Moby Arena on Wednesday, Dec. 2, which are free and open to the public:

  • Colorado State, 1 to 2:30 p.m.
  • Washington, 2:35 to 4:05 p.m.
  • Middle Tennessee State, 4:10 to 5:40 p.m.
  • Northern Colorado, 5:45 to 7:15 p.m.
