Starting Nov. 4, students can enter to win an iPad Mini by submitting a video of themselves completing one of the 70 Things To Do Before You Graduate.
This holiday season, treat yourself to an iPad Mini. All you have to do is film yourself hugging a tree in Sherwood Forest (No. 47), making a statement on the stump in the LSC plaza (No. 18), going to the annual CSU Rodeo Show (No. 51), or completing one of the other green and gold CSU traditions on the 70 Things To Do Before You Graduate list.
CSU has a rich history extending back to 1870 that is packed with traditions. The Traditions Council, which is made up of representatives of various student organizations and populations, worked together to make sure the list included those things that are true CSU traditions. Every year they develop the For-Ever-Green guide to CSU history and tradition. The guide is a helpful tool, especially if you are looking for ways to complete the 70 Things.
The list is full of great suggestions for ways to make the most meaningful experience from the time you spend at CSU. It is designed to follow the activities you’ll most likely engage in from freshman year to senior – or super-senior—year.
The first item on the list: Wear your For-Ever-Green T-shirt, those amazing green tees with the CSU fight song printed on the back that every new freshman receives during Ram Welcome. Speaking of, this introductory campus event is number three on the list, after taking a photo with CAM the Ram. The final three items are all special ways to commemorate your education here: No. 68, Take a picture at the place that meant the most to you on campus; No. 69, Have coffee with your favorite faculty member; and No. 70, Graduate and join the Alumni Association.
As if you needed any more incentive to complete one of these traditional tasks, the student who wins the YouTube competition will receive a free iPad Mini from RamTech, while runners-up win CSU gear (which can be worn on Friday to knock No. 33 off the list). Videos must be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org by Nov. 15 for consideration. Good luck and may the best student video win.
