Rams host 211th 'Border War' Wednesday

Colorado State will host Wyoming in the 211th "Border War" on Wednesday, fresh off a 71-66 win at Air Force on Saturday. The win gave CSU its fourth conference win of the season. The four victories tie for the Rams' second-most MWC wins in a season in the last six years.

In 2007-08, the Rams won seven MWC games. Senior guard Marcus Walker has averaged 19.8 points per game in his last five outings. He has scored at least 18 points in all five games, including three games of 20 or more points. His 99 points in the last five games are his most in a five-game stretch since he scored 110 points in five games from Jan. 26-Feb. 9, 2008. He now ranks fifth in the conference in scoring at 16.1 points per game.

On Wednesday, the CSU athletic department is sponsoring a "Hostile Student Takeover" with several promotions including a free "Border War" T-shirt to the first 500 students and dollar hot dogs for all students in attendance.

Series History

The Rams will take on the Cowboys for the 211th time when they meet on Wednesday. The 211 meetings are the most of any CSU opponent in men's basketball history.
