Join a CSU Tradition!

February 16, 2011

This is the perfect opportunity for busy students to devote one day out of their semester to connect with those in need in our community.

One day makes a difference

CSUnity is a one-day service plunge into the Fort Collins community organized by the Student Leadership, Involvement, and Community Engagement (SLiCE) office. Individuals and agencies from the local area sign up to have a team of CSU students complete a service project at their home or business. As the 15th annual event quickly approaches, volunteers are still needed. Projects will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sat., Apr. 16.

Last year, CSUnity brought together almost 2,000 volunteers and provided over 6,000 hours of community service to agencies and neighbors in Fort Collins. A range of service projects are available, including painting, planting trees, and visiting with senior neighbors.

This year, SLiCE is pleased to offer participants a free event t-shirt, along with breakfast and a $5 gift card redeemable at all LSC food vendors.

Fort Collins community members and agencies, as well as students and groups are encouraged to register a service project or sign up volunteers through the SLiCE website or by calling the SLiCE office at (970) 491-1682.
