Red Cross CPR and First Aid certifications

September 30, 2011

Environmental Health Services recently began offering the latest version of CPR, AED, and First Aid courses offered by the American Red Cross. The new format is valid for two years and is scheduled for four and a half hours.

Fees and registration

Unfortunately the American Red Cross has mandated a price increase for the new format. All classes are accredited through the American Red Cross and are available to faculty, staff and individuals outside the university. There is a cost for the courses that varies by course.

The new Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED and First aid course will cost $110. While this cost sounds high, the two year certification actually decreases the overall cost of being certified by the American Red Cross.

For additional information, view the course schedule or register, visit EHS.
