Cozy comfort food cooking

January 21. 2009

Warm, hearty meals can soothe your soul on a cold winter day, and you can enjoy them without deviating from a healthful eating plan. The CSU Nutrition Center invites you into their aromatic kitchen to experiment with making lighter versions of foods your grandmother used to make.

Culinary arts

The Nutrition Center @ CSU aims to provide exceptional nutrition education to the public.

On Monday, Feb. 2 from noon - 1 p.m., you are invited to a cooking workshop where you will make and eat lighter versions of cozy favorites.  You'll also receive:

  • time-saving and money-saving tips
  • receive recipes and advice for adjusting your own favorite recipes at home

The workshop will be held room 114, Gifford Building, 502 W. Lake Street. Attendance at a questions and answer session from 1-1:30 p.m. is optional.

Please register

To register, call The Nutrition Center @ CSU at (970) 491-8615. The cost is $10.

No fads or gimmicks

The Nutrition Center @ CSU brings to life the latest in nutrition research.  Program curriculums are based on science, not fads. Experienced registered dietitians and graduate nutrition students can help you change your lifestyle and improve your health. The Center is an outreach service of the Food Science and Human Nutrition Department in the College of Applied Human Sciences.
