Graduate student conference in animal ethics

The 2011 Animal Ethics Graduate Student Conference will be held April 9 and 10 in the Lory Student Center.

Two-day conference

The conference will take place on April 9 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. in the Lory Student Center Cherokee Ballroom and April 10 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. in LSC 230.

Well respected speakers to attend

This conference will feature well known and respected members in the field of Animal Ethics, including CSU Distinguished philosopher, Bernard Rollin; Charlie Arnot, the chief lobbyist of Agriculture; George Seidel, CSU Distinguished professor; and Alastair Norcross, renowned  moral philosopher from the University of Colorado.

This is a great opportunity to learn more about the practical and  prevalent issues of animal ethics and welfare we are currently facing in  two of the most prominent industries: agriculture and science.
