Charisse McAuliffe named managing director for Institute for Entrepreneurship

Charisse McAuliffe has been named managing director for the Institute for Entrepreneurship in the College of Business at Colorado State University.

Charrise McAuliffe“After a long and intensive search process, we are delighted to announce that Charisse McAuliffe on May 1 will assume the role of managing director for the Institute for Entrepreneurship,” said Dawn DeTienne, faculty director for the Institute for Entrepreneurship. “Charisse brings a wealth of knowledge as a former entrepreneur engaged in the green economy and extensive expertise in communication, marketing and entrepreneurship.”

McAuliffe is currently the director of marketing at VanDyne SuperTurbo, a Fort Collins company which specializes in the design, development and production of the SuperTurbo for the global automotive market and heavy-duty engine manufacturers.

She was the founder and CEO of GenGreen LLC, which assembled the largest database of screened environmental and healthy living businesses and resources in North America. She was also the “Green Living” columnist for The Coloradoan.

'Top 25 Most Influential Young Professionals'

“She is well-entrenched in the Fort Collins community,” said DeTienne. “She was also recently named one of the Top 25 Most Influential Young Professionals in Colorado Biz Magazine.”

Institue for Enterpreneurship

The Institute for Entrepreneurship focuses on creating learning experiences for students across the CSU campus. The center’s mission is to train entrepreneurs who will positively impact the community, state, country and world.

The managing director is responsible for day-to-day management of the Institute for Entrepreneurship including overall program management, student engagement and oversight of student ventures, management of the physical location, assistance to entrepreneurship faculty in the achievement of the program’s teaching and research goals, marketing and public relations, and assistance in capital campaigns.
