To promote a flourishing environment for the arts and culture at CSU, the Lilla B. Morgan Endowment Committee has awarded spring 2011 grants for programs ranging from a summer Shakespeare series, a bilingual cultural and arts workshop for youth, and a fall festival showcasing media production by CSU journalism alumni.
The Lilla B. Morgan Memorial Fund was created by the family and friends of CSU's late President Emeritus William Morgan and his wife, Lilla, to help foster a vibrant, rich, and evolving environment for the arts and cultural expression at Colorado State University.
“We had an outstanding group of applications this spring, which made for some really tough decisions,” said grants committee Chair Cara Neth, Office of the President. “The programs we’re able to help support will impact thousands of people across our campus community and reflect the rich variety of cultural options available here at CSU. Many of them also involve great partnerships among campus and community organizations, which is a trend we hope to see continue.”
