Employee Study Privilege Forms due May 17

Employee Study Privilege forms must be submitted no later than the first day of classes for the term. A form must be submitted each term an employee intends to register for courses. Late forms will not be considered.

The deadline for submitting Summer term Employee Study Privilege Forms is Monday, May 17.

Eligibility

Eligibility for the Employee Study Privilege includes CSU Academic Faculty and Administrative Professional staff with Regular or Special appointments of 50 percent time or greater and all non-temporary State Classified staff with appointments of 50 percent time or greater.

Academic Faculty and Administrative Professionals on temporary appointment and Post-Doctoral students, Veterinary Interns, and Clinical Psychology Interns are eligible for the Study Privilege after completing one year of continuous service at half-time or greater appointments.

Benefit amounts

The Employee Study Privilege covers:

  • Student portion of resident instruction tuition
  • General fees
  • Supplemental and upper division tuition

As an employee, you will be responsible for the following charges:

  • University Facility Fee
  • University Technology Fee
  • Applicable College Technology Charges (for regularly admitted students only)
  • Applicable course fees
  • Special Program charges (M.S. Biomedical Sciences, M.B.A. Business Administration – E.V., M.B.A. Joint D.V.M., M.S. Business Admin/GSSZ, M.S. Business Administration, Master of Accountancy, Master of Management Practice)
  • Any tuition, supplemental tuition, and upper division tuition not covered by the Study Privilege or College Opportunity Fund
