Learn how to use Apple iBooks Author on Feb. 6

February 1, 2013

Build your own multimedia book for the iPad with amazing free authoring app and two-hour hands-on instruction.

Available free on the Mac App Store, iBooks Author is an amazing app that allows anyone to create beautiful Multi-Touch textbooks — and just about any other kind of book — for iPad. With galleries, video, interactive diagrams, 3D objects, mathematical expressions, and more, these books bring content to life in ways the printed page never could.

In this two-hour session, presented by Apple Engineer Corey Carson, participants will be given multimedia resources and walked through an exercise to build their own textbook. Bring a Mac running 10.7.4 (Lion) or higher with iBooks Author 2.0 installed.

The workshop will be held Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2-4 p.m. at the Event Center, Morgan Library. Register at http://seminar_reg.colostate.edu. Click on the Login tab and login with your ename and epassword. Once logged in, click on the Add Class tab and select the class.
