Working at CSU

New University Work-Life Resources Web page

November 30, 2009

Finding a workable balance is an ongoing challenge that impacts our health, our performance, and our overall quality of life. The Provost's website now has a link to some of the family-friendly resources available to you.

Challenges most of us encounter

Most of us struggle with some of the challenges involved in balancing the demands of work and personal life. Our jobs are important to us, and we’re privileged to work in an exciting, creative environment. But a primary purpose of working, at least for most of us, is to put food on the table and build a secure and satisfying home life.

We want to succeed on both fronts, and when the two conflict, we can wind up feeling that we’re not succeeding very well on either. Finding a workable balance is an ongoing challenge that impacts our health, our performance, and our overall quality of life.

Family-friendly resources

There’s no simple formula for making it work - if it were simple, you probably wouldn’t be reading this now. The Provost's website now has a link to some of the family-friendly resources available to you.

The Work-Life Resources Web page recognizes the tough challenges we all face and offers some useful resources to help you strike a sustainable balance in your personal and professional lives. It highlights services and support specific to the Colorado State University community, as well as some of the benefits and opportunities available to members of our faculty and staff.

Feedback welcomed

This online resource was created in the hope that it would be a helpful service to those who teach our students and keep our campus running, and we welcome your feedback and advice as to how we can continue to improve its value to you.

Please take a few minutes to browse the page and learn more about the resources available to help you.
