Princeton Review highlights College of Business and MBA program among top in the nation

Colorado State University's College of Business offers one of the best MBA programs in the nation, according to The Princeton Review, a New York-based education services company.

Princeton Review's best 294 business schools'College of Business has online education down to a science'

"The Best 294 Business Schools: 2012 Edition" has two-page profiles of the schools with write-ups on their academics, student life, and admissions, plus ratings for their academics, selectivity, and career placement services. In the profile on Colorado State, the Princeton Review editors say: "Convenience and affordability define the MBA experience at Colorado State University; whether you choose to attend classes at the school’s scenic Fort Collins campus, or from your home computer 1,000 miles away. Operating one of the longest-running distance MBA’s in the country, CSU has online education down to a science."

Top family friendly college

Colorado State’s MBA program also was ranked number 4 in The Princeton Review’s Top 10 “Most Family Friendly” category and No. 7 in its Top 10 “Best Administered” category.

“The market wants an MBA degree program that conforms to today’s complicated lifestyle; one that includes balancing work, family, and personal priorities,” said John Hoxmeier, associate dean of graduate programs at CSU's College of Business. “We believe we have a Professional MBA with multiple delivery options that addresses these needs.  It is rewarding to be recognized as a top family-friendly program that is well managed.”

'Impressive collection of students from around the globe'

Colorado State students praise the remarkable “ability of the administration and staff to assemble an impressive collection of students from around the globe, and then to effectively manage such a diverse group.” They quote from students attending Colorado State who say “I cannot say enough about how much assistance I receive from professors, the distance coordinator and administrators.”

GSSE program ranks 27 among the Top 100 MBA programs in the world

Along with being named as one of the top business schools in the nation by Princeton Review, Colorado State’s College of Business was recently recognized for its outstanding leadership in integrating social, environmental and ethical issues into its Global Social and Sustainable Enterprise MBA program. The Aspen Institute’s 2011-2012 edition of “Beyond Grey Pinstripes,” an independent, biennial survey and global ranking of business schools, ranked the GSSE program at CSU number 27 on its list of the Top 100 MBA Programs in the world. The College’s Online Professional MBA program also is recognized as one of the “25 Best Online MBA Degree Programs” by The Best Colleges, an organization that produces independent ranking assessments based on publicly available data.

The Princeton Review has posted the ranking lists and information on how they are compiled at www.PrincetonReview.com where the lists can be searched by school or by category. The ranking lists are based on surveys of 19,000 students at the best AACSB-accredited MBA programs in the world.
