Classified Personnel Council education awards

January 17, 2013

Financial assistance available for employees taking classes.

Are you a Colorado State University state classified employee who is taking a class?

The Classified Personnel Council offers employee awards to assist classified employees seeking to move ahead in their jobs/careers. Five awards will be given in the amount of $500 each, based on need as demonstrated in the application.

Employees may use this award to meet any needs associated with furthering their education, for example tuition, books, child care expenses, gas for traveling to class, etc. Employees enrolled in many different types of courses such as trade courses (welding, electrical, etc), additional certification, college courses at schools other than CSU, and on-line courses are eligible to apply for the award.

Awards are granted twice a year. Funds will be available to award recipients as soon as enrollment is verified.

Application forms may be viewed and downloaded from the Classified Personnel Council website under CPC Awards at www.cpc.colostate.edu or email Diane.Hellbusch@colostate.edu for an application.

Application deadline for Spring 2013 applications is 5 p.m., Feb. 4, 2013.
